You can believe whatever you like, it really doesn’t make any difference to me whatsoever, nor any difference in teh story that we’re telling.
Tom’s usual way of denying by not denying and the truth being that this is Disney and he is not allowed to comment one way or another. To say “yes” or “no” is strictly not allowed. We all know this is bullshit, if disney is behind it, or the group of writers working in the Marvel house right now really are all just that fucking stupid remains to be seen. But regardless, it’s a bad idea no matter who is handing down the orders. I’m hoping the twins are still mutants (people are mutants in the 616 without being Magneto’s babies) and I’m holding out hope that Magneto is still actually their father and it just happens that the man who we are seeing as Magneto right now is not physically Magneto (LMD or something) so that he would not be “blood-tied” to Wanda in that scene but the real/actual Magneto was. I mean, the number of times that man has died and come back, been deaged, cloned, magicked, retconed, and reborn is daunting. He should be over 85 years old and isn’t, so possibly his mind is in a body that wasn’t originally his? Thus no blood-tie anymore?
This is me TRYING to let these guys (men…psssshhh) tell their “story” but I have a hard time extending to them the benefit of the doubt that they are coming from a good place, a creative place. Not a “shake it up and watch it burn” place. If they retcon the kids away from their racial and ethnic and mutants roots they are doing a disservice to us, no matter what kind of story they are trying to tell.
I am German and Slovak. My representation matters. Right? Possibly not? Oh, ok then.
By all means, just keep throwing Wanda under the crazy bus, throw a rape sub-plot in while you’re at it, bros, that’s totally an empowering story line to drag a woman through. Yay!!!! ~sarcasm~
